Within the company there is the Project Management Office. Its main aim is the effective project management – lowering costs, effects control, improving timeliness. Experienced managers guarantee project implementation following best practices, using methodologies tailored to a commissioned project.
The scope of the PMO tasks embraces: a project organisation, forming and management of an interdisciplinary team created separately for each project, preparation of schedule and budget, risk management, and project documentation quality management. Luma R&D is responsible for projects implemented in all Luma Holding’s companies, as well as those commissioned by external clients.
The essence of European Solutions’ operation is seeking modern technological and organisational solutions and introducing them to industry practice.
In order to create a strong R&D team for particular projects managed by the company, a cooperation has been established with scientific and research units such as: Silesian University of Technology, Opole University of Technology, the Central Mining Institute, Wrocław University of Technology, the AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow, the Organic Chemistry Institute, the Warsaw School of Economics, as well as foreign centres i.a.: Montanuniversitat Leoben from Austria, University Matej Bel – Slovakia, Chalmers University of Technology and Luleå University of Technology – Sweden, Fraunhofer-Institute -Germany.
The subject of cooperation with the scientific centres is the scientists’ support in the process of an innovative production technology implementation, as well as a qualitative support in terms of improving the production process for European Solutions’ clients.
